The Blue Jays might not have added any players at the trade deadline, but the team did get a much needed boost during its most recent series.
Pitcher Mark Buehrle arranged for a baby lion and baby tiger to be brought to the team’s locker room yesterday. Whatever magic the pair of cubs bestowed upon the players clearly worked as the Blue Jays went on to sweep the Cubs.
Several of the team’s players, including Jose Bautista, Drew Hutchinson and Jose Reyes, shared pictures of the cubs on Instagram.
Knowing how superstitious baseball players can be, they’ll probably try to have the cubs in before every game until the end of the season. This might end in tears. [via National Post]
