According to the results of a recent poll conducted by Mainstreet Technologies, John Tory holds a commanding lead in the city’s mayoral race.
The poll, which surveyed 2,469 people on Sunday via “Interactive Voice Response” (read: robocalls), found that Tory currently has 40 per cent of the city’s voter share, while Olivia Chow and Doug Ford have 25 and 23 per cent, respectively.
In the press release that accompanied the results of the poll, Quito Maggi, president of Mainstreet Technologies, said, “John Tory may have peaked too early and has little room to grow. As the clear front runner, the pressure remains on him, he seems to be handling that extremely well and is unlikely to mis-step. However, voters will soon see Doug Ford debating on the same stage as Tory and Chow, the pressure will be on John Tory to keep his coalition of voters intact.” [via Toronto Life]
