Steve Mann is a scientist and inventor that teaches engineering at the University of Toronto. He invented a digital seeing device called the Eyetap Digital Glass, which he always wears. He has been referred to as the world’s first cyborg.
We talked to Steve in advance of his speaking appearance at TEDxToronto yesterday. We chatted with him about the Eyetap device, his issues with living in a surveillance society, and about an instrument he invented, the hydraulophone, which creates musical noises from the vibrations of water.
