Alex Molotkow’s lovely post today reminded me of an idea I’ve been kicking around for a while. I’m not sure they have to be Post-Its. Maybe they could be like the “Do Not Disturb” door hangers at hotels that hook into one of the million straps hanging off most backpacks.
Print ‘em up, hang them on the little “What’s On?” hooks in TTC vehicles and let people attach them to the pack of the urban Sherpa who’s forcing you into the sweaty body behind you. How many could a truly oblivious jerk accumulate in one day? Five? Six?
And yes, I know similar ideas have arisen before. This one shifts things a little closer to the aggressive side of passive-aggressive, though. And short of a branding iron, it’s probably all we can do to make the offenders bear the mark of their shameful behaviour. At least as long as the adhesive holds.
Ideas Free to a Good Home is a clearinghouse of ideas we’re too lazy to develop ourselves.
