Free WiFi comes to Wellesley Station
Those waiting for a subway at Wellesley can now check their emails and watch their favourite Youtube videos.

The TTC continues its slow march to modernity as Wellesley becomes the latest station to offer free WiFi.

It joins Bay, St George and Yonge and Bloor as one of four TTC stations with Internet access.

If everything goes according to plan, the next station to receive WiFi will be College Station. The entire bottom half of the University-Spadina loop is expected to have WiFi access by 2015. Those that don’t frequent the University-Spadina line will likely have to wait until 2017 before they can watch cat videos while waiting for a subway.

According to the Toronto Star, TTC buses will be WiFi capable by 2016, though it’s unclear if that means commuters will be able to access a network while riding on one its bus. [via Toronto Star]
