A Toronto tattoo shop has invented the Kinder Surprise of tattoo distribution.
You'll never know what design you might just get.

Looking to up your tattoo game while flirting with a bit of random chance?

No? Well, a Dundas West tattoo shop has you covered anyway.

Okey Doke Tattoo Shop recently installed a vending machine inside of its space that doles out random tattoo designs. The designs come in a large Kinder Surprise-like capsule and cost $80 apiece.

This is not the first time a local store is in the news for using a vending machine to surprise its customers. Almost two years ago, the Monkey’s Paw, a local book store, made it into the news when it posted a video of its Biblio-mat, a handmade vending machine that dispensed used books from the store’s collection for $2.

Of course, spending $2 on a used book is a lot different from committing to a tattoo that lasts a lifetime, but according to a interview the Toronto Star did with one of the shop’s tattoo artists, everyone that has bought a tattoo from the vending machine has ended up getting inked as well.

The vending machine has been around for about a month, and in that time 30 people have used it. The shop doesn’t force anyone that uses the machine to get inked, but they also don’t offer a refund if someone is unhappy with their potential design. I guess one can’t have it all. [via Toronto Star]
