Chrome plugin plays clown music when you read about Rob Ford
If you're not already tired reading about Rob Ford, then this should help.

After an ever so brief respite from any Rob Ford related news, the city’s infamous mayor has returned to its news cycle with a bang. According to a report by the Toronto Star, the mayor may have been a jerk during his recent rehab stint. If it feels like the city is returning to a collective media clown show, it is, and to mark the occasion, an enterprising developer has released a plugin for Google Chrome that plays the appropriate tune anytime you read a story about him.

The plugin, called the Entrance of RoFo, will play “Embrace of the Gladiators” once it detects a story about Rob Ford being read. The song’s name might not be familiar, but you’ve certainly heard it before—listen to the song on Youtube to confirm. According to the extension’s developer, uboolean, “The song became popular in the 20th century as a screamer march for circuses, often used to introduce the clowns.”

If you’re one of those weirdos that doesn’t use Chrome, well, you’re out of luck, but for everyone else, you can download and install the extension by visiting the Chrome Web Store. One hopes the impending election will put an end to all Rob Ford related news, but if Ford nation has its way, you might be using the plugin for a long time. [via Gizmodo]
