Most Wanted: Patty Hewes' Sunglasses
"Oh, how I love this ruthless, brilliant bitch of an attorney"

Oh, how I love this ruthless, brilliant bitch of an attorney. For anyone (shame on you) who doesn’t watch Damages, Patty is a cutthroat laywer who sometimes does things like, well, try to have her associates killed and put her son’s baby mama behind bars. Glenn Close, who plays Patty, has won numerous Emmys and Golden Globes for the character.

Patty’s sunglasses are hands down one of the best pieces of styling on TV; her tinted John Lennon-esque shades let you catch a trace of her eyes, but never truly read her expression. They’re really the perfect metaphor for Patty who, no matter how well you might know her, is always hiding something. Hell, the show’s tagline is “trust no one.”

So for fellow Patty fanatics, or anyone who just likes good sunglasses, I’ve tracked down where you can get them. Patty’s shades are custom-fitted Oliver Peoples eyeglasses with a “Riley R” frame in translucent “Becr” gray. The Riley frame is easily recognizable via its rounded contouring, pin detailing, and unique keyhole bridge. They retail for $345 and can be ordered by contacting the company directly (888-568-1655 or ecommerce@oliverpeoples.com).
