Much like the rest of fashion, watches went through a brash phase of bold statements this year. They became add-ons to “arm parties,” forgoing practicality in favour of bold neon colours and interface designs. Now, watches are circling back to their more practical roots with simpler designs and slight twists on the traditional. White, rosegold, or black tones (with a hint of army green) will complement almost any outfit without taking it hostage. Bonus: many of these watches are fairly unisex, so men can rock rosegold and girls can pair their boyfriend’s watch with their boyfriend jeans. Pricepoints are reasonable at $200-300, for a product that stands the test of time and trends.
All available at Watch It! at 317 Yonge Street (Diesel and Michael Kors available in May)
