Beauty Myth: Bjork
Greg Brown renders a surprisingly relatable Bjork.

Local artist (and budding biology teacher) Greg Brown has always had an obsession with poised, but off-kilter musical heroines. For this week’s Beauty Myth, he chose to render Bjork, whom he considers to be beautiful because of her childlike features; they compliment her ferocious creative intellect just right. These days people who use fashion and beauty as a means to art (and occasionally look like aliens a la Lady Gaga, Tilda Swinton) are running rampant, but he likes Bjork because she’s been doing that for years.
