Free outdoor movie festival coming to Fort York this August
Who wants to see Jurassic Park outside and on the big screen?

What’s a better than seeing a movie under a bed of stars? Seeing a free movie under a bed of stars, obviously—and, as it turns out, we’ll have that exact opportunity soon.

Starting next Saturday, Scotiabank will show the classic Jurassic Park at Fort York. The movie is part of a month long film festival, and each Tuesday will bring with a new movie at sunset. Most of the films on display are ones you’ve likely seen before (see the full list below), but then there’s the whole free part of the equation. Moreover, as a way to sweeten the deal Scotiabank has stated that the first 300 people through the doors will receive free popcorn.

The event’s organizers have said that no alcohol or smoking will be permitted at the screenings. So, if you have them, feel free to bring the little ones along to show them how much cooler movies like Jurassic Park were because they used real props.

Check out Fort York’s Facebook page for full details. [via blogTO]

Update: We had mistakenly written that the festival occurs every Saturday of this month. It happens every Tuesday. We apologize for the mistake.
