After successfully bringing upscale sister-brand Massimo Dutti to Canada this past August, Zara parent company Inditex is today launching online shopping for Canadians at Zara.com and via a new mobile app. The service, which is already available in Europe, the United States and China and Japan, will offer free shipping on orders over $50, in store returns for up to 30 days, and an astonishingly convenient option for free at home pick-up for returns (you never have to leave the house again!). The company is also offering environmentally friendly packaging and is set to open Canada’s first Zara Home store at Yorkdale later this year. The new online shop is sure to please Canadian consumers, and offer up some healthy competition for Canadian retailer Aritzia’s own venture into e-commerce this past December.
