WATCH: TIFF Short 'Noah' Will Convince You To Quit Facebook
Tale of doomed teen romance unfolds entirely on a computer screen

If you have ever felt the pangs of anxiety that accompany a change of your Facebook relationship status, you’ll relate to this TIFF short film. Noah tells the story of a doomed teen romance through the lens that modern relationships are so often filtered: the action of the film unfolds on the screens of the titular Noah’s Mac and iPhone. The familiarity of Noah’s behaviour — highlighting text as he reads, hesitating before he hits send — is affecting. By the time the credits pop up in a simple text edit window, your cursor will be hovering over the ‘delete account’ button.

Noah is the debut effort from directors Walter Woodman and Patrick Cederberg, both Ryerson University film grads. After premiering this weekend as part of the Short Cuts Canada program, the film is now available to stream on YouTube, along with other shorts from emerging and established Canadian filmmakers.
