Toronto's Queasy Games Takes Home Two Awards at the Canadian Videogame Awards
The indie studio's hit musical side scroller 'Sound Shapes' was the only Toronto made game to win this year

This weekend wasn’t only all about the Junos — the Canadian Videogame Awards, which highlight the best games made in Canada each year, took place on Saturday night in Vancouver. Toronto Studio Queasy Games was the only winner from Ontario, with their musical platformer Sound Shapes taking home two awards. Sound Shapes won Best Game on the Go and Best Game Innovation. If you’ve never heard of it, check out the trailer below, because it’s really not a game that is easily explained with words. It is very cool, and totally deserving of the awards it won.

The big winners of the night were Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3, which won six awards, including the Game of the Year award. Mass Effect 3 (EA/BioWare) came in a close second with 3 awards, including Best Writing. Congratulations to all the winners, but a special congratulations to Jonathan Mak, Shaw-Han Liem, and Queasy!
