In something out of a Stephen King novel, a beaver has attacked and killed a man in Belarus. Although the incident happened in April, the gory details on the attack were released today. It seems the man was trying to take a photo with the beaver, when it lunged and bit his leg numerous times severing a major artery.
I, for one, didn’t know beavers existed outside of Canada, so all of this is news to me. Apparently they were almost extinct in Europe before the government placed laws on hunting. No report yet on whether or not the beaver repeatedly slapped the man in the face with his tail. I guess it just goes to show that everyone and everything is nicer in Canada.
In other weird beaver news, did you know that common artificial vanilla, raspberry, and strawberry flavours are actually made from the secretion of a beaver’s gland located near the anus? Look it up, son.
