Leslieville All-Bacon Restaurant Will Give You a Discount for Jogging There in a Pig-Shaped Route
Rashers is encouraging city porkers to drop pounds before pigging out

This little piggy had roast beef, this little piggy had none. This little piggy had a greasy, mouth watering bacon sandwich from Rashers after their swine-shaped run over to the restaurant, just so they could earn back every calorie they burned. Mmmm, delicious fitness!

It’s all part of Rashers’ “Run the Pig” promotion, offering 30% off any of their sandwiches if you play the game. All you have to do is jog or cycle over to the shop on a route that draws out the shape of a porky pig, track it on a GPS, and show it at the cash to get your hands to get a discount treat from the troth. They promise that if you sweat like a pig, you’ll eat like one. The stunt has been declared the world’s first exercise-based mobile food coupon.

Good one, guys. Rashers is pretty pleased with themselves, with their promo vid (below) citing lots of perks to the pig plan: “Yes, it got a lot of people running the pig, but more importantly it subversively worked the Rashers brand into every major app on the market.”

The Leslieville restaurant is the only “all-bacon themed” joint in North America, hogging the market with options like wild boar bacon sammies, sliders and a maple-glazed apple grilled cheese. There’s also a vegetarian option, if you’re into that.

Jessica Smith of Couch to 42k, MetroNews’ fitness blog, mapped out a route for you, so it’s just that much easier to get to the grease:
