A new dating site connects federal inmates in jail, often for violent crimes, with people on the outside. The site hopes to facilitate love and rehabilitate inmates, but, like many dating sites, urges caution when reading the inmates bios: sometimes the writer might be guilty of not just rape or murder, but exaggeration. Alberta is considering whether to give boys the HPV vaccine that girls have received since 2008. The society of obstetricians and gynecologists of Canada has urged for this to health ministers, saying it will protect boys against certain types of cancer and genital warts. [Globe and Mail]
The Royal Canadian Air Force might repair and regularly use cast-off American aircraft that they purchased initially, at a cost of $165 million, only for spare parts. The planes lack an air worthiness certificate and the proper electronics necessary for search and rescue. [National Post]

Syria blames Israel for a fiery attack that took place just west of Damascus early Sunday morning. Israel has refused to confirm or deny what the Syrian Foreign Minister has called “an act of war.” [New York Times]
The wife of a garment worker killed in Bangladesh factory collapse has filed a murder charge against the owner. The death toll is currently at 622 and climbing, making it the worst industrial disaster in the country’s history. [The Guardian]
Two Chinese pupils die after eating yoghurt laced with rat poison. Police told state media that the head of a rival institution laced the yoghurt to try and ruin their competitor’s reputation. [The Guardian]
