Canadian superstars Arcade Fire are slated to score the new Spike Jonze film Her. The film follows a lonely Joaquin Phoenix as he falls in love with a Scarlett Johansson-voiced artificial intelligence robot in the not-too-distant colour-saturated future.
This marks the third collaboration between the director and the Montreal-based band, after Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaption, Where the Wild Things Are) directed a music video for the titular track off Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs, along with a short film titled Scenes from the Suburbs.
Arcade Fire (not to be confused with an actual Fire Arcade) are set to release their new album October 29th, which they announced in response to a fan’s tweet simply reading “you’re my favorite.”
