5 Cocktail Recipes Inspired by the Designers of Toronto Fashion Week
Ever wondered what Lucian Matis tastes like?

You may have heard that World MasterCard Fashion Week is around the corner. You may have also heard that we like a good drink. So, we figured, why not share some tasty cocktail recipes inspired by five of our favourite Canadian designers? Just don’t get wasted and face plant in front of the street style photographers. We take no responsibility for that.

The Sid Neigum (aka Century Old Fashioned): Unexpected ingredients come together for a twist on this classic cocktail.

1.5 oz Belvedere
1.5 oz Coconut water
One bar spoon Simple Syrup
One bar spoon Absinthe
1 inch zest of lemon

Muddle lemon and sugar in the base of a rocks glass.  Slowly fill glass with cubed ice and remaining ingredients (like an old fashioned), stirring continuously. Optional garnish:  mint sprig.

The Lucian Matis (aka Crimson Fizz): Beautifully distinct flavours married together to create an exquisite cocktail
10 oz Belvedere Vodka
15 oz cranberry juice
2.5 lemon juice
3.5 oz Aperol
5 oz orange juice
Dash simple syrup
Top with Chandon Brut

Add all ingredients to a jug and stir.  Garnish with orange slices and lemons and pour in Champagne flutes.  Add lemon zest to garnish.

The Bustle (aka Power Hour Sour): Cheeky and flavourful, this sour packs a punch!
2 ox Belvedere Vodka
3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
Dash Egg White (optional)

Shake and strain over cubed ice into a rocks glass.  Garnish with a wedge of lemon.

The Chloe Comme Parris (aka Twinkle): The mixture of textures (hard vodka and light Champagne) result in a brilliant pairing.

2 oz Belvedere
1/4 oz St Germain Elderflower Liqueur
3/4 oz Moet & Chandon

Shake first two ingredients and pour into a champagne flute.  Top with Moet & Chandon.  Garnish with a lemon twist.

The Pink Tartan (aka White Cosmopolitan): A delightful and refreshing twist on a classic.
2 oz Belvedere
1/2 oz white cranberry juice
1/4 oz triple sec
1/4 oz lemon juice

Shake with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass.  Garnish with lemon twist
