Film to Ask the Burning Question: Who is James Franco?
Performance-artist, Marina Abramović, to try her hand at filmmaking with all-about-James-Franco movie

Soon the answers to all your James Franco related questions will be revealed in a film set to explore the many facets of the actor/artist/writer/renaissance man. Performance-artist, Marina Abramović, will be embarking on her first film with this endeavour, but the uncertainty and difficulty of a new challenge must be worth it to learn more about this mystery-man-Franco.

Abramović’s interest in Franco as a subject is due to his tendency to take huge risks (like his idea to sell invisible art — oh ya, and it worked) regardless of the potential outcome, setting him apart from his Hollywood counterparts who rather work steadily and make money than jump around from one ridiculous sounding project to the next.

Most recently, Abramović was the subject of a documentary, Marina Abramović: The Artist Is Present, about her latest MoMA retrospective in 2010 where the artist spent all day, every day from March to May, sitting at a table under a beam of light as gallery attendees were invited to sit across from her in complete silence. It seems fitting that one extreme artist is to document the life of another, providing the public with answers to the questions, “Who is James Franco?” and “Why is he doing what he’s doing?” (and maybe also “How can I make $10,000 off of invisible art?”)
