Constantly Discover New Artists With Wondereur
App unveils Canadian and international contemporary artists

Wondereur being used on an iPad

Wondereur is an app which makes it possible for people to get up close and personal with contemporary art. It is made possible by leading artists and professionals from around the world who share tips on up-and-comming artists in their communities. An artist on the brink of his or her career is then featured every two weeks in the interactive app. Once an artist is chosen a group of journalists, designers and photojournalists work together to bring the artist’s work to life. They use documentary‐style photo essays, interviews and the talent spotter’s insights to create an in-depth artist profile. Cofounders Olivier Berger, Sophie Perceval and Angelica Fox sought to help expose young artists through a new and accessible medium.

“By combining an intimate photo story and a pop‐up art store, we want Wondereur to revolutionize the way people buy art. You discover who to invest in now, and you get to know the artist in a more personal, meaningful way. This is a first in both the art and digital worlds,” says co-founder Olivia Berger.

“So much incredible art is being created every day, all around us, but it’s sometimes difficult for people who aren’t established collectors to discover art that’s worth investing in, and at the right moment in the artist’s career,” says Perceval. “We’re connecting people with the experts who can spot high‐calibre talent at an early stage. It’s every art lover’s dream to buy exceptional pieces while they’re still accessible, and Wondereur makes that possible.”

Wondereur currently has talent spotters and curators in Toronto, New York, and Paris. They are rapidly expanding, hoping to bring more local artists to the international level.
